January and February Empties

Ladies- I now present you - once again - a glimpse into my trashcan:)

I always feel slightly stupid when I keep products that should go into the bin, take photos of them and show them on the Internet. But then again I like writing these mini reviews and I also very much enjoy reading other people's posts about their empty beauty products.

So, let's get started!

Elmex Mouthwash

I really like it and have already repurchased it. I use it twice a day after brushing and flossing my teeth and it leaves your mouth feeling very clean and fresh without burning like hell (hello Listerine..)

Elmex Toothpaste

Love it and used it ever since I had teeth. I always have this one at my sink and I keep a different one in my shower. I am not fussy about the toothpaste in my shower I always switch that one up and try different ones but I have to have Elmex at my sink. Always. It cleans very well, has a nice taste and when I asked my dentist which toothpaste he would recommend he told me this one.

Ebelin  acetone free nail polish remover for sensitive nails

I like it. It is cheap and it works. I hate the smell though but I guess that is kind of the same with all of them. Already repurchased.

Garnier Mineral invisiDry deodorant

It works and I like it and have not used anything else for years (switched it up a bit within the range though) but I would like to try something more natural without Aluminium as that is meant to be a controversial ingredient in deodorants because it might be associated with breast cancer. I am not sure how serious I should take that but if I can avoid it - why not? When I have used up my backup I will purchase something else.

Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Mascara

I really liked it but i like the Maybelline Falsies Mascara just as much (and their wand also look kind of similar to me) so I will keep repurchasing the Maybelline one since it is much, much cheaper. But it is a really good mascara I think!

Yves Rocher Hamamélis shower gel for sensitive skin

Nice shower gel with a subtle clean smell but again I really don't care too much about shower gel. I am fussy about shampoo and conditioner but I will wash my body with anything you give me. If I like the smell I will most likely like the product too. I have not come across am shower gel I did not like apart from the smell yet.

Vichy Normaderm "Global  anti-imperfection hydrating care"

Decent moisturizer, right now I am using La Roche Posay's Effaclar Duo and when this one runs out I will repurchase one of them but I am not sure which one it will we. Until now I liked both.

Clinique "take the day off" cleansing milk

I am so glad that this is finally empty! I hated it! It left a very unpleasant residue on my skin even after rinsing it several times with water, it stung my eyes and it did not work that great I think. I will not repurchase that, for sure. I now use bioderma, an eye makeup remover by Sephora and my Normaderm cleanser for taking off my makeup and that works really well.

Dr. Hauschka "Gesichtstonikum" toner

I got a sample of this in a skincare sample kit for Christmas and used it when I went home for the weekend. It was nice and didn't dry out my skin. I did not like the smell though. But I don't use toner anyway so I will not buy the full size product.

Montagne jeunesse Anti Stress sheet mask with green mint anf teatree oil

I had a horrible allergic reaction to this. My face turned bright red withing seconds, it stung and although I removed it instantly I had red sore spots on my face for three days. Not very pretty I tell you. And I have never had any problems with teatree oil or mint. It does say something like 'test before use' on the sachet but be honest-how are you supposed to test a sheet mask? Of coure I could have opened it, rubbed a little bit of the fluid into my skin, sellotape the sachet so that it doesn't dry out, wait for 24 h and the applied it. Be honest girls - who would have done that? Well, I should have and I think I will be scared of sheet masks from now on and most certainly will not repurchase. Or any other mask from that brand.

December Empties

Hello Lovelies!

These are the products I managed to use up in December. I quite liked most of them so let's have a look, shall we?

 

Lush American Cream conditioner:

I really really like it and a bigger bottle is already waiting in my shower. I wash my hair two to three times a week and I use my Lush conditioner everytime I do so. From time to time I use a different product from the L'oreal professional line (my hairdresser recommended it to me) to deep condition my hair, then I will of course skip my regular conditioner but while I will nor repurchase the hairmask for deep conditioning I am very happy with American Cream. It is quite thin but I like that as it makes distributing the product really easy and it smells amazing. If you don't like the scent you should look for something different though because it lingers in your hair until you wash it again!

Herbal Essences 'Viel Feuchtigkeit' shampoo:

This used to be my special occasion shampoo as it makes my hair really soft and shiny but I also noticed that it makes my hair greasy very fast so I will probably not buy it again and look for a different shampoo that has the same effect on my hair. I am yet to find my perfect shampoo. At the moment I am using 'Curly Wurly' by Lush and so far I like it.

Caudalie Vinosource Body Moisturizer:

I used two sachets of this in November and was quite pleased with it. It is not greasy on the skin, leaves it feeling really nice and has a fresh subtle scent. I got the two samples of this when I purchased the 'Eau de beauté'. (I still cannot decide if I like it to be honest). I don't think I will buy the full size though as I am quite lazy with body moisturizers and find that a cheaper product works just as well for me. I like to splurge on different things than body lotion.

Essence better than gel nails top sealer:

Love it!Makes your nailpolish dry much faster, gives a nice shine and is not expensive at all. Already repurchased it.

Vichy Normaderm pore refining serum:

As I have mentioned before the pore refining serum by Clinique did not work at all for me. This one does, at least I think I see a difference. I will repurchase it and see if my pores continue to shrink because I am still not totally happy with the results. If I don't see a major difference after the second tube I will stop using it. I think 4 months should be enough to see a noticeable difference in your skin.

Elmex 'Intensiv Reinigung'

I do not use teeth whitening products because I have very sensitive teeth and thy are not really discoloured to begin with but I occasionally use this product when I fell like my teeth need extra cleaning (after a day of chocolate over indulgence for example--) and I like that it makes your teeth feel super clean and fresh. So I will repurchase that.

Guhl 'Feuchtigkeits Balance' leave in coditioner:

I liked that product a lot! I have naturally wavy hair that is dry, especially my ends are. I used it on mornings inbetween washes to freshen up my curls and it worked quite well for me. However, I will not repurchase it because I found my hair miracle - Argan oil! I will do a separate post on that when I know if it is really working but for now I am thrilled with the results!

Aufgebraucht im November

Hallo!

Wieder ist ein Monat um und endlich, endlich kann man sich, ohne sich ständig rechtfertigen zu müssen, Weihnachtslieder anhören :)

Jetzt, wo die vielen Weihnachtsangebote in den Geschäften sind, ist es noch schwieriger, der Versuchung zu widerstehen und beim Geschenke kaufen sich selbst mitzubeschenken, deshalb bin ich eigentlich ganz froh, dass ich diesen Monat einige Produkte leer bekommen habe!

Elmex Zahnspülung:

            Verwende ich schon seit Jahren morgens und abends nach dem zähneputzen du der Zahnseide und bin sehr zufrieden damit. Sie hat zwar nicht den typischen Minzegschmack, den man von Mundspülungen kennt, aber die Zähne fühlen sich lange sehr sauber an. Wird nachgekauft!

Garnier Hautklar A Tagespflege:

            War gut, im Winter leider nicht feuchtigkeitsspendend genug, für den Sommer aber super! Die Creme hat eine Geltextur und einen „frischen“ Geruch, der für sehr sensible Haut vielleicht auch zu viel ist,. Da wären wir wieder beim Thema, ich mags nicht, wenn Produkte parfümiert sind...Aber man kann gut drüber schminken und sie kontrolliert auch den Glanz recht gut. Im Winter werd ich sie jetzt nicht mehr kaufen, aber ich war sehr zufrieden!

Lush American Cream Conditioner:

            Hab ich bereits in der nächstgrößeren Flasche nachgekauft! Es is ein eher dünnflüssiger Conditioner, also nix, was die Haare rettet, wenn sie schon extrem ausgetrocknet sind, sondern eher, um sie in dem Status zu erhalten, in dem sie gerade sind. Ich hab ihn abwechselnd mit einer Haarmaske vom Friseur verwendet, wenn ich das Gefühl hatte, dass meine Haare ein bisschen mehr Pflege brauchen. Beim Duft muss jeder für sich selbst entscheiden, ich hab mich zuerst dran gewöhnen müssen, er riecht sehr schwer und orientalisch in meinem Haar, das kann aber bei jedem anders sein. Mittlerweile mag ich den Geruch sehr gerne und er bleibt auch bis zur nächsten Wäsche im Haar!

Body Shop Vanilla Duschgel:

            Lag schon ewig angefangen bei mir herum, jetzt ist es endlich leer. War ein gutes Duschgel, obwohl ich finde, dass man da eigentlich eh nicht viel falsch machen kann, solang man es gut verträgt und den Geruch mag, ist eigentlich alles ok :). Ich hab den Vanillegeruch einfach nicht mehr ausgehalten, es gab eine Zeit vor ein paar Jahren, wo ich ihn geliebt habe und das Bodyspray zusätzlich benutzt habe (und wahrscheinlich ganz schrecklich penetrant nach Vanille gerochen hab), aber jetzt bin ich froh, dass es leer ist.

Ebelin Nagellackentferner mit Aceton

            Eigentlich wollte ich den acetonfreien Nagellackentferner, hab aber versehentlich den falschen erwischt. War wahrscheinlich nicht das Beste für meine Nägel, aber sie habens überstanden und ablackieren ging schneller mit diesem hier, besonders bei Glitzerlacken!

Dontodent Mundspülung:

             Nicht so gut wie Elmex, aber auch nicht schlecht, vor allem schmeckt sie besser! Die Minigröße war recht praktisch für die Handtasche, wenn man auswärts essen ist und sich danach gern die Zähne putzen würde, oder zum verreisen etc. Irgendeine Minimundspülung hab ich eigentlich immer, obs genau die wieder wird weiß ich nicht, da kauf ich ehlich gesagt meistens einfach die erste, die ich im Regal sehe.

Balea Augen Make-up Entferner ölfrei:

            Eine geniales Produkt, noch dazu für den Preis! Er bekommt nicht sofort ALLES runter, das erwarte ich aber auch nicht, hab noch keinen gefunden, der das kann. Ich verwende ihn immer, um das Gröbste vom Make-up abzunehmen, dann wasche ich mir das Gesicht mit meinem Waschgel und die letzten Reste nehm ich mit Bioderma weg. Funktioniert super bei mir, werde ich wieder kaufen.

Aufgebraucht im Oktober

Hallo!

Ich lese selber sehr gerne „aufgebraucht im ..." Posts und dachte mir, ich versuch das auch und sammel mal alles zusammen, was ich in einem Monat aufbrauche. Ist vielleicht auch eine gute Motivation, nicht dauernd neues Zeug zu kaufen, sondern die Dinge leer zu machen, die ich schon habe!

Und das sind meine „October empties“ (Farbschema erkennbar?;) ):

Got2be „Glanzstück“ Haarspray:

            Ich muss sagen, dass ich Haarspray nur sehr selten verwende, vielleicht mal für eine kompliziertere Frisur, aber sonst so gut wie nie – dementsprechend lang ist die Flasche bei mir herumgestanden. Ich habe sicher 2 Jahre gebraucht um die leer zu kriegen! Auffällig an diesem Produkt ist der Geruch! Er ist seeeeehr sehr süß und erinnert mich an Kaugummi und Zuckerwatte! Am Anfang mochte ich das nicht besonders, ich bin kein Fan von stark parfümierten Kosmetik/Beauty Produkten. Erstens weil ich oft auf gerade diese Dinge allergisch reagieren und zweitens weil ich ganz gern Parfum trage und ich finde, dass sich das mit anderen parfümierten Produkten nicht verträgt.

Der Halt des Haarsprays war ok, nicht besonders, aber man hat schon einen Unterschied bemerken können. Die Haare haben tatsächlich glänzender gewirkt und waren auch nach Benutzung nicht so komisch verklebt und steif, aber der Effekt hat mich zusammen mit dem etwas seltsamen Geruch jetzt nicht völlig überzeugt. Zudem habe ich in Erinnerung, dass ich relativ viel bezahlt hab, dafür dass es ‚nur’ Haarspray ist.

Also: Nachkaufen werde ich ihn glaube ich nicht, für mich tuts auch ein billigerer, ich verwende einfach zu wenig Haarspray, um einen teuren rechtfertigen zu können. Aber ein schlechtes Produkt ist es sicher nicht, wenn einen der Geruch nicht stört.

Clinique „Pore minimizer refinig Serum“

            Hm. Ich muss sagen, keine Wirkung. Zumindest nicht bei mir. Ich habe vergrößerte Poren um die Nase und auf der Stirn und habe brav unter der Tages/Nachtpflege das Serum benutzt, aber ich habe ganz ehrlich absolut keinen Unterschied bemerkt. Finde ich schade, denn billig war der Spaß nicht. Die Haut hat sich sehr schön geglättet angefühlt und die Foundation ließ sich darüber gut auftragen, aber dieser geglättete Effekt war nur temporär. Schade. Aber nachkaufen werd ich das nicht. Im Moment teste ich ein ähnliches (viel billigeres) Produkt aus der Vichy Normaderm Serie. Wenn das auch nicht hilft, werde ich beginnen, mich mit den vergrößerten Poren abzufinden... :)

Clinique Dramatically different moisturizing gel:

            Gutes Produkt, das ich jahrelang benutzt habe. Das DDMG ist ja als Unterstützung für die Pflege, die danach kommt, gedacht und ich war lange sehr überzeugt vom Clinique 3 Schritte Pflegesystem. Nur vor ein paar Monaten habe ich angefangen, auf Vichy Normaderm umzusteigen. Einerseits aus Kostengründen, andererseits, weil ich angefangen hab zu überlegen, wieviele Schichte an Pflege und Make up Produkten täglich so auf einem (meinem?) Frauengesicht landen (Toner, DDMG o.ä., Spezialpflege (Serum o.ä.), Tages/Nachtpflege, Make up Primer, Foundation, Puder, Blush usw- und diese Liste lässt sich noch um einiges erweitern-HILFE!). Das hat mich so schockiert, dass ich jetzt versuche, die Produkte, die ich täglich verwende, zu reduzieren. Bis jetzt funktioniert das auch. Ich merke keinen Unterschied, seit ich das DDMG nicht mehr unter meiner Pflege verwende. Außerdem ärgert es mich, dass man nie alles raus kriegt aus dem Pumpspender. Den würde ich nicht mehr kaufen. Ist zwar billiger, aber wenn das so viel zurückbleibt relativiert sich das mit der Ersparnis sowieso. Und platzsparender ist die Tube auch.

Trotzdem, eine Zeit lang hab ich das Gel sehr gern verwendet und auch mehrere Male nachgekauft!

Sephora Body Scrub Erdbeere

            Aus dem Urlaub mitgebracht und gern verwendet. Riecht total gut, der Geruch bleibt aber nicht lang auf der Haut (was ich ja mag...) und der Peelingeffekt ist angenehem. Es ist nicht zu grob für den Körper und brennt auch nicht, wenn man z.B. sich vorher die Beine rasiert hat.

Ich habe es gern verwendet, ein anderes Body Scrub tuts aber auch.

Maybelline „falsche Wimpern Effekt“ Mascara

            Finde ich super, kaufe ich sicher nach! Ich habe nebenbei auch noch die Lancôme Hypnôse Mascara verwendet- dreimal so teuer, nur marginal besser, kauf ich nicht mehr. Ich finde wirklich, dass man, wenn es um Mascara geht, auch in der Drogerie fündig wird.

Unter allen meinen Empties, ist diese geniale Wimperntusche der Gewinner!
